Read this article, "Bryan Kohberger accepts plea deal in Idaho student murders case", https://www.foxnews.com/person/r/michael-ruiz, which is another tragic failure of our legal system that denies justice for the victims. When we ignore God's law we do it at our peril, Genesis 9:6, “Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”. At one time the responsibility for carrying out this command belonged to the "avenger of blood". After God instituted "human government" to provide peace, law, and order, this became the responsibility of government. We have failed in that completely. Even in the few cases where capital punishment is carried out it is so late in coming that it has lost the significance of the command. The 20 year old who has committed murder is executed (if at all) in their sixties after spending a life in jail which should never have gone past 20. I know the first complaint is "what happened to the right to appeal", and the answer to that is was the person guilty or "did we just think they were guilty". As long as you convict only the guilty you will never have to be concerned about appeals. That entire process exists only because we have so diluted our idea of justice that it is no longer recognizable, or as we have seen with the attack against Trump, opinions have replaced facts, truth and law.
Just a note: Guy, you do know we're on vacation this week? This is just to let you know, I can't guarantee we'll get to your lengthy posts. I think we might be unique in that we really do try --- when we're NOT on vacation --- to actually read all the comments and often respond. But right now, my co-writer and I are listening to Cuban jazz in Little Havana.
And you deserve it. This week is special for my wife and I as well, we celebrate our 61st wedding anniversary (on the 4th). Just know I appreciate the work that goes into each Edition, it adds insight and integrity the news sorely needs, including your comments.
This story remains in the news, "Judge to keep Abrego Garcia behind bars after top Trump admin officials say he won't go free", https://www.foxnews.com/person/a/cameron-arcand, and for all the wrong reasons. I still see this as the test case to interfere with Trump's executive authority. Trump's deportation program was always targeting Illegals with emphasis on the worse of the worse. That meant illegals who had come into the country with a crime history or committed a crime while on US soil. Given that all that's required to be deported is that you are an illegal, what's really as issue here? It boils down to 1) if the crime was committed outside the US do we have prosecution jurisdiction, and the answer is NO, or 2) if the crime was committed on US soil do we have prosecution jurisdiction, and the answer is YES. But in this case does that mean we have to prosecute, and the answer is NO. The democrats can't even argue this point since they routinely fail to prosecute violent protesters as long as the like what they are protesting. So what's really behind this democratic strategy (with radical judicial support), put any roadblock in the way of Trump policy whether legal or not, and it's working. Keep illegals in the country, whether free or in jail, for as long as possible at great taxpayer expense and call it "justice" when it's the exact opposite.
Read this article, "Karoline Leavitt accuses CNN of 'encouraging violence' against agents for reports on new ICE tracking app", https://www.foxnews.com/person/k/lindsay-kornick, which describes an illegal practice that hides behind "freedom of speech". I cite again the law against yelling fire in a crowded theater. This is the equivalent only directed against law enforcement. Radar detectors are illegal in commercial vehicles over a certain weight, and radar jammers are illegal, all for less then the danger posed to our law enforcement personnel by this app. It is a serious mistake to consider there must be a "chapter and verse" law for everything the defies common sense. The default of "if its not written down it's legal" is the idiocy of the "it's never my fault" crowd. These are the same people who take drugs and then want to blame an overdose on "societal pressures".
Read this article, "Iran acknowledges death toll from Israel's strike on notorious Evin prison, https://www.foxnews.com/person/s/stephen-sorace, and have to ask the reason for this story that old news? How does it have anything to do with the current tenuous cease fire? On the surface it appears more an attempt to imply Israel violated the truce by not including the date of this event in the headline so one would know immediately it was a legitimate war incursion before the cease fire was obtained.
Read this article, "Trump administration sues Los Angeles over sanctuary policies that 'impede' ICE operations", https://www.foxnews.com/person/a/cameron-arcand, and I just don't understand the need to sue over this. Law's governing immigration are federal, as are the enforcement agencies. The fact that this whole sanctuary business has reached the point it has is not for lack of jurisdiction or law to support the federal case. This should be notice of indictments, not of a suit. If I'm wrong I'd like someone to explain "why", and the logic behind it.
read this is todays news, "Suspected shooter in Idaho firefighter ambush identified", https://www.foxnews.com/person/r/sarah-rumpf, and it's a decently written article about a tragic incident until the very last where this statement had to be included, "The motive behind Roley’s actions remains unclear". Once again our obsession with motive which makes absolutely no difference to the dead and wounded, or in cases like this where the perpetrator is dead, to him. I could understand if the focus is to ensure that any accomplices are identified and punished but I have never heard that as the reason for this obsession and all that would require is to say the investigation is ongoing. No, the obsession is tied to our desire to mitigate the actors responsibility, try to somehow share the blame as opposed to being responsible for our own actions. This erroneous "school of thought" starts all the back to our failed educational system and we have created generations brought up on this so now both the perpetrators (criminals) and authorities (judicial system) consider it normal to place the blame anywhere but where it belongs. One of the reasons why we have so many lawsuits, lawyers, and courts.
I’m not ideologically aligned with Ambassador Huckabee yet I read his Substack because he’s reasoned and represents the other POV from mine. So, there will be a time when SCOTUS rulings will benefit progressive aims similar to how these rulings will enable President Trump’s aims now. Just so everyone knows that nationwide injunctions will not work for anyone in the future… and on and on…
I have taken numerous long planned overseas trips since my husband passed. It never fails that there will be a last minute unforeseen issue requiring resolution. It’s just part of taking vacations. Enjoy.
Roberts just couldn’t help himself from making a jab. He did still come out on the right side. No pun intended. The lefty three lady judges are an embarrassment to women who have fought so long to be regarded as intellectual equals to men. Obviously they cut classes in law school when the Constitution was taught. They also failed to listen to their oath of office.
I was in agreement with Laura about Michele. Further I think she would have won in a landslide. Thank goodness we are happy to say we were wrong. God is indeed looking out for our well being.
It is possible that the staff and Jill will be able to testify truthfully that Biden approved the signings. “Honey, don’t you agree that Hunter and [insert names] should be protected from prosecution after you are out of office. Say yes if it’s okay with you to use the auto pen to sign those pardons. Sweetie, you know we need to do the right thing for our son and good friends. Oh thank you dear. I’ll pass on your approval.”
Thanks, Anne. I do think that Michelle was probably The Intended One and Joe Biden screwed it up. And, yes, those three justices are an embarrassment to womankind.
I do believe that Michelle Obama was going to be the one to run for president, but, I have a feeling that she had to be talked into it. She loved her luxurious, lazy life style and did not want to give it up. She was probably breathing easier when Kamala was picked by Joe!
I think you're right about Michelle's priorities. But they would have given her ANYTHING to do it. It would all have been on her terms, just so they could win.
Everything in life emanates from the spiritual realm for sure. Our thoughts feelings emotions whether good bad happy or sad comes from this realm. It's no coincidence that the heart is in the center of the body because out of it comes all the issues of life. Life can be complex but if we surrender our hearts to our Creator He gives us the clarity we need to navigate this most complex world.
I don't think Biden's endorsement of Harris for President was the act of an addled old man, nor was it Biden's distaste for Obama. I believe his endorsement of Harris was a slap to the democRATs for pulling the rug out from under him. Joe's keepers, including DOCTOR Jill (and whoever was controlling the autopen), were unhappy he had been removed, and the endorsement of Harris was their retribution.
Re SCOTUS, Trump just keeps winning! Wonder what underhanded dirty parlor tricks the lefties will try next? Think I’ll have to make two kinds of popcorn next round…
You better believe they have something up their sleeves? The devil and his imps work overtime to wreak havoc especially when you're trying to do the right thing.
Remember to thank God for each and every victory! One by one they add up to freedom.
Thanks, Mike for always reporting the TRUTH and keeping everyone in the know about the real issues
Amen

Sheesh

as long as the SCOTUS and Courts honor the Law of the Land and the Constitution. That's all folks.

Enjoy your well deserved vacation.
Ha, I'm sitting in our hotel room reading the newsletter comments. But thanks!

For sure, for sure.
I, also, was prophesying Michelle into the White House.
I may send Biden a thank-you gift.
I knew Big Mike wouldn't enter and couldn't win.
