Read this, "The unwinnable war America's Founding Fathers fought and won changed human history forever", https://www.foxnews.com/person/c/john-coleman, short well written fantastic article, too bad they stopped teaching this in schools so long ago. I really wonder if current teachers even know this as opposed to simply refusing to teach it.

🇺🇸 Day of Prayer 🇺🇸

Today, we stand united with our esteemed Governor, Greg Abbott, in observing a Day of Prayer across Texas. In the wake of the devastating floods that have impacted Central Texas, we honor the strength and resilience that define our great state.

Please share this post to help raise awareness about this important Day of Prayer.

In this moment of reflection, we join our beloved Governor and fellow Texans in lifting our hearts in prayer for those we have lost 🖤 and for those still missing. Together, we seek healing and hope for our communities.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your comfort and strength during this time of sorrow. We lift up the lives lost in the recent floods and pray for their families, that they may find peace in Your presence. We ask for Your guidance and protection for those still missing and for the brave first responders working tirelessly to bring them home.

Lord, grant us the wisdom to support one another and the resilience to rebuild our communities. May Your love shine through us as we navigate this difficult time together.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Read this article, "Elon Musk launches ‘America Party’ after Trump signs historic spending bill: 'Waste & graft'", https://www.foxnews.com/person/b/jasmine-baehr, and while I can't argue that the political parties are "not" broken, the Democrats ideologically, and the Republicans functionally, I can say effectively argue that Musk is not a political guru. He's a frustrated entrepreneur use to getting his way who can't fathom a reality where he is not top dog. Unfortunately politics have become beholden to money (Soros and the like) but we can only hope Musk becomes tired of "not being top dog" and returns to what he can do best.

Read this article, "Deadly Texas flood exposes 'neglected' weather alert system Trump aims to modernize", https://www.foxnews.com/person/k/alexandra-koch, and I can't express strongly how disgusting this kind of reporting is to me, including the "political" comments made. Whether Trump ever campaigned on upgrading NOAA technology (Nome's comment) or not I can't say, but what I can say is the firing of 880 NOAA employees (D-Wash comment) had nothing to do with this tragedy. All weather is unpredictable not just "this type of system", if it were not so every forecast would be accurate. Bear in mind these are the same people who say they have "predicted" global warming, which involves the entire planet's systems not just a local weather system. This is a terrible tragedy but what do we actually know. 1) Texas is a basically flat state. 2) Water seeks it's own level, pour an unlimited amount of water is a shallow saucepan and it never gets deeper then the rim, do the same in a bowl and it gets as deep as the bowl. 3) This Guadalupe River rising 30 feet in 45 minutes had to run in a arroyo (confined channel) and the camp was built in that arroyo. 4) When artificial arroyos are built (mainly out west) signs are posted to warn "kids" not to "play in the arroyo" because flash storms miles away can send walls of water down the arroyo in minutes. That is what we know. It's the same as building New Orleans below sea level, or a beach home on an island in hurricane alley, or your house in the California woods where they refuse to maintain the forest to minimize fire hazard. If you play with fire long enough you will eventually get burnt. Does this provide any relief for the impacted families, no it does not, but they were not forced to send their children there, nor was the camp forced to build there. They did, and perhaps generations of kids enjoyed the proximity to the river before this happened, but the "answer" is none of the comments in this article, it's move the camp out of the arroyo.

Sending Prayers to the Many still missing also for Families that mourn due to this powerful storm as it caused unsurpassed damage to this area where children were at Camp. Still praying for those that are Missing, may they be found without harm. If it be GODS Will. Praying for those searching for those that are lost or trapped, that they will not give up until all have been accounted for. Amen

You know, I wouldn't mind so much the endless booming of fireworks in my neighborhood, past midnight every night, beginning at the end of June and continuing well past the 4th, if the idiots that subject us to their childood destructive fantasies actually knew WHAT they are supposed to be celebrating...and...if they were not the ones most vociferously complaining about the high prices of everything...and...how many hundreds of dollars DID you spend in order to make one loud annoying bang after another!!!

Love your description of Arkansas life in the summer on porches at night! Brings back memories of my childhood and family life. Wouldn't it be wonderful if life could be kinder and gentler in the coming months...

I am 84, and I remember hanging clothes on the line and bringing them in. We had a partial wrap around porch in our house in Mountain Home, Idaho. Though I have been back a few times, I do not remember the street, I just always drove into MH and right to the house. I remember as a child, sitting with my mother, stepfather, and grandparents, swatting those pesky bugs, and enjoying conversation and Klondike solitaire games with my grandfather, the only doctor in Mountain Home for the first few years of my life. We had to move after the third grade because the sagebrush was killing me, but I still remember those times with great fondness.

The severe flooding of the Guadalupe River occurs in roughly 20 year cycles. Many years ago, my wife's parents lived on Treasure Island near Seguin. The river flooded and severely damaged their house. My wife's best friend from High School lived at New Braunfels about 20 years later, and she lost her house completely during that flood.

Perhaps it is time for the state of Texas to do some flood analysis and flood control work.

When discussing the media, including FOX, all we ever hear are the results of anti-common-sense decisions. The cause is either stupidity or corruption. Why are all elected democrats so anti-common sense? MONEY. Foreign anti-American countries fund their elections. The CCP funds the climate change movement. Why doesn't FOX point this out?

I have a question to ponder on this Independence Day : why is it that there are homeless veterans but no homeless Congress people? And I don't count those that don't dare show their faces back in the places they were elected from 🤔

Of course there are no homeless Congress people. They spend millions to get elected to a job paying $174,000 per year...that's telling in and of itself.
