Merrick Garland?????????????? Such a poor excuse for a lawyer of any shape or form.

His dislike of Trump stems from his request for Sup. Court appointment from Trump (which Trump did not do)

I support many of Trump’s policies but I believe it was the right decision by the judge to have Trump’s name removed from the Kennedy Center. Trump will certainly be remembered by many other things. To display one’s ego as such is un called for.

ACLJ has a text about Christians being arrested for witnessing, handing out pamphlets & Etc. in public parks and etc.

Makes me think of A longgg... time ago I used to erase hardcore music cassette tapes and then record R.W. Schambach's preaching and other Evangelists. Then place them around the mall. Kids with headphones would repeat what was on the tape to their friends!!! What'd he say? PRAISE THE LORD! HALLELUJAH!! and etc.. Response say what?! And then he repeated again and again!! The whole mall would get Evangelized!! :-)

My Pastor would go to an abortion clinic with an Usher, and the whole Video, lights camera action on scene News Interview. Just to ask outside about their opinions on abortion and never ever criticize anyone or promote Christian viewpoint.

How many continued into building or even got close?? ...... ZERO!!!

Cops came and nothing they could do about a totally objective impartial independent news interview to be broadcast on a local radio station.

A friend of mine worked security there inside the abortion clinic for a few days. Never a peep from him. But he hid/placed tracts all over the place. Simple tract both sides "Jesus Loves You".

He said a lot of ladies simply walked out with that tract in hand.

WISDOM! WISDOM! Therefore get thee Wisdom. It is the principal thing.

I actually think the entire Trump administration should walk away from the Kennedy Center and allow it to remain a monument to Democrat mismanagement. Let the liberal board members, who've done nothing but bankrupt it, return. Let it rot. And for what it's worth, Trump has said he never asked the Board to add his name, so he's fine with them removing it. But anyone who attends the Kennedy Center for any reason should realize it's not safe. PS the first time I walked past the Kennedy Center was during Obama's last term, and I was shocked at all the trash, dirt and worse just allowed to accumulate outside. In fact, I had to be convinced it WAS the Kennedy Center.

Sad thing is if Trump does that he will get all the blame along with Republicans forever!

And democrats or no it is still a wonderful project....which highlights John F. Kennedy and if I remember correctly Kennedy was a Democrat. A very good Democrat who could reach across to all political parties in a very positive Patriotic All American way!

If Trump returns the Board to its former liberal make up, they can't blame Trump. It's what they want. Especially after even the Kennedy family (Caroline) has criticized the current management.

Some of you will may disagree with me ... but I'll say it anyway.

We have the Lincoln Memorial, in memory for Abraham Lincoln, a president who was assassinated.

We have the Kennedy Center, in memory of John F Kennedy, a president who was assassinated.

For Trump to add his name to the Kennedy Center, is in so many ways improper.

Just so you know, I did indeed vote for President Trump.

I think that your piece on renaming the Kennedy Center should note that there is a statute, Public Law 88-260, enacted in 1964, that gives it the official name of "John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts." Any change would require legislation.

So not all anti-Trump judges are making up the law.

I find myself wishing I had kept track of every lawsuit filed against DJT, his admin, EOs, and initiatives like refurbishing and adding his name to the decaying Kennedy Center. Miring his second term in legal muck seems to be the primary weapon of the left in hopes of rendering him impotent. But God.

That's just what they did during his first term as well. Political enemies at the FBI tied his hands.

Your computer would have to have quite a large memory hard-drive to keep track of all the accusations against President Trump both in and out of his time in Presidential Office!

You'd need lots of copier ink!!!!

And all the democrats would have to do is get a good candidate who would represent the entire nation and balance of both parties without malice for what is best for the American Nation and democracy as a whole and world peace.

I think it would be good to see justice given to these rouge, (so called judges)! With one of the consequences, be to return all the tax money and, (DEFENSE MONEY) stolen in their illegal "STUFF"!!!!

You literally could not make this crazy stuff up. If I read this in a novel, I would be shaking my head thinking how phony the story was!

Judge Cooper et al...and...the Democratic Party...ARE the Nazis in this country. Let's call a spade a spade.

Judges with no integrity are THE problem with the United States of America. They should be removed from the bench.

Richard Luthmann's avatar

The real story is not that Judge Ross recused. The real story is how rare that has become. In case after case, the anti-Trump legal world tells Americans to ignore obvious conflicts, partisan social circles, political spouses, campaign friendships, and judicial attitudes that would get ordinary lawyers torched in any ethics seminar. Meanwhile, Judge Christopher Cooper sits on Trump-related matters while his household is tied to anti-Trump legal work, and the swamp pretends nobody can see the problem. Ross did the right thing, finally. Good. Now make it contagious. Recusal should not be a miracle. It should be normal.

Laura Ainsworth's avatar

Yes, it should be. Actually, our commentary opened by making that very point about the rarity of recusal these days. Judges simply refuse to recuse! That decision needs to be taken out of their hands if necessary.
