Happy new year and may God bless America! Thanks for common sense reporting and some positive news. We sure do need it.

The Trump administration would be wise to start putting pencil to paper to show middle class America how his “BBB” will actually positively affect them in 2026 and forward.

Right now all we hear from the media is how it was for the rich and no one else.

Fight back with facts. The Left hates that.

This is an excerpt from my daily devotional for January 1. It is a sobering realization of what Jesus did for us in coming to earth as a human being.

"Before coming to earth below, Jesus enjoyed heavenly riches above ("that though He was rich"). He knew the infinitely rich fellowship of the Father and the Spirit. He received the rich worship of angelic beings. He enjoyed the limitless prerogatives of deity.

"Then, for our benefit, Jesus voluntarily became poor ("for your sakes He became poor"). He humbled Himself to walk as a man among sinful humanity. He who was adored above became despised below. He who shined forth in glorious divinity in heaven was clothed in humble humanity on earth. He who created all things was slain by those He created. He who always existed in eternity past died in time. He who was holy took our sin upon Himself."

Newsmax article about Trump's health insinuates that he bruises or bleeds easily due to health problems or taking an aspirin every day. I don't buy it. A natural result of getting older (I am 80 and in good health; Trump is 79) is thinning of the skin and bruising easily due to aging of the skin. Here is a link to the article: https://tinyurl.com/TRhelth

Here is my comment on the Newsmax article:

"The fact that President Trump bleeds easily is not the result of his taking aspirin, it is his age. I am 80, and in good health, but as I have aged, my skin has become thin, and less resistant to bumps and bruises. I can brush against a door or a wall or a doorknob or door lever, and it peels back the thin skin and bleeds, or results in a bruise or a pool of blood beneath the skin. Trump is 79, also in good health, but let's face it, we all have to face effects of aging. I still mow the lawn with a manual power mower that I push, and walk a mile or two every day."

THINK TRUMP SAID HE TAKES 325 MG ASPIRIN A DAY. THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH PER MORE RECENT ARTICLES. 81 MG PER DAY SHOULD BE ENOUGH AND IF NOT THE ADD EN EXTRA 82 EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE

George Reynolds's avatar

325 mg is ONE aspirin tablet. It is not too much.

Happy New Year to everyone here from Alberta.

Thank you. I like to think so but of course I'm biased.

mom and step dad loved it but i have only seen videos and photos. Canada was my adopted home years ago.

I've lived my entire life in Alberta except for some work trips and vacations. Conservative thinking Americans should be more comfortable in Alberta and in Saskatchewan than anywhere else in this country. I've traveled a bit in the U.S., Laughlin, Mesquite, Vegas in Nevada (for brief winter interludes), the Dakotas, here and there in Montana across the northern part of the state, some of Idaho through the panhandle and along the I-15, and here and there in Washington state including tri-cities, Spokane, the Palouse and the coast and we did the four volcanoes tour, seeing Baker from fairly close, Rainier and Hood more distantly and the St. Helen's area as close as we could get back in the day. Virtually everyone there was friendly, outgoing, and pleasant to talk to. Had some great conversations in little Montana diners and bars (pubs? saloons?). Great memories, good people. Though I live in Edmonton the last 15 years or so I spent most of my adult life in a small rural Alberta town and grew up on a mixed farm (cattle and grain). I have far more in common with the people of Montana than I do with most Canadians east of Manitoba and west of British Columbia's central valleys. I like our American neighbours very much but if Alberta does decide to go its own way my preference is for us to become a new, independent nation, preferably maintaining some close ties with Canada but also forging closer ties with the U.S. as well.

there are many great places to visit and great people everywhere. Unfortunately some are not kind nor welcoming. Born in the Netherlands, came to Canada after the war to start from scratch. Texas has been good to me. Have new friends and our neighbors are pleasant. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Have visited many of our states and all of eastern Canada. Pleasant memories. Money is tight so not travel a lot now. New years resolution: Laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger. Love a little deeper, pray a lot harder and walk through life a little slower. Stay well and enjoy the new year, Texas has welcomed a big influx, less farm land with all the new homes and subdivisions and apartments and oil pipelines etc. Stay well and happy

You too, and have a great New Year. I have a cousin who's lived in Texas for around three decades now. She even married a Texan. She seems to have had a good life. Because of our shared oil, beef, and cowboy histories there is a lot of common ground between Albertans and Texans. Many expat Albertans live in Texas and many first and second generation Canadians living in Calgary have parents and/or grandparents who were born and raised in Texas.

Read this article, "Netanyahu warns of ‘eighth front’ ideological battle for American hearts and minds with Christian leaders", https://www.foxnews.com/person/l/efrat-lachter, and I couldn't agree with him more. The "prince and power of the air" is doing everything possible to steer the hearts and minds of "young America" away from the very foundational religious belief that guided our Constitution, statements of independence, and early laws that created this once great nation. When the foundation is allowed to rot the building crumbles and if we crumble so does Israel, and Netanyahu knows that as only someone living the battle can.

Saw this article, "White House race underway: With 2026 looming, both parties are already playing for 2028", https://www.foxnews.com/person/s/paul-steinhauser, and I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be a joke or just the result of a slow news day. On the democratic side they have Newsom and Harris, a man who can't even run a state and a woman who aside from illegal votes would have crashed and burned in the last election. I can't even imagine a democratic primary or convention with these two let alone actual debates with the opposition. On the republican side in order not to be obvious they put up Cruz (and even mention Rand Paul) simply because they are vocal against Trump. Neither possesses any MAGA credentials which is what it will take to retain the White House. If the republican candidate is not Vance something really drastic and unseen will have happened, like him declining to run.

RAND HAS GUTS TO POST ALL THE FRAUD FOUND IN GOVERNMENT EVRY YEAR

Sharon Faulkner's avatar

But Vance has seemed to be hedging on Israel and I like it not. To be the next MAGA Leader and win our support the would-be contenders need to have the guts to come out and say " you stand with Israel or find a new party home" but I am afraid to many see a Muslim vote as something that must be courted.

He's not that bad, just a bit one-sided. I will say he hasn't aged well...

For a more conservative, comic take, try Al Perrrotta at Dispatches from the Bananas Republic on Substack. Not as long winded, but funny most of the time.

I feel very bad for the people in New York having a mayor that only wants to destroy them, while he takes over. I am praying the people will see what he has done before the next election. People need to pay attention.

Read this article, "Elon Musk mocks MS NOW contributor for denying genetic differences between ethnicities during heated debate", https://www.foxnews.com/person/h/alexander-hall, and I'm not sure what the fuss is about, if one thing has been true about humanistic progressive democrats for a long time, it's that science to them is only what agrees with there ideology. The reality is this has been going on since the beginning of time. I won't quote the whole passage, but read Romans 1:20-32 which basically says "just look around and you will see all the evidence required to know there is a GOD". In the past it was the universe itself that shouted the truth as every century we learned something new and exciting, today DNA might be the best example, a language so complicated it defies our understanding, yet so critical to every living being. Non-believers would have you accept DNA is a random accident of time instead of the creative act of an almighty GOD. The point being, no matter how strong the evidence a person can simply make up there mind to 'not believe it', it's called free will, and it operates not just in religion but politics and virtually every aspect of life.

In todays Edition you raise the question of 2026 being a repeat of 2018 and give a good answer as far as it goes. Yes Trump did bring in a team more suited to action and they have done as well as can be expected considering the constant democratic resistance and "lawfare" judges. But what was not mentioned is the failure of the republican controlled congress to show the same sense of urgency. Except for the BBB they have not only done little to advance the cause they have have actually worked against it with there constant bickering and outright anti Trump attitude by many of the "so called" republicans, and I'm not even talking about the outright RINO's. Case on point, the Colorado "water lady" that thinks Trump vetoing her bill to bail out a 2009 project that is not yet complete and who knows how many millions over budget. calling his veto retribution for her vote on releasing "junk" that's serving no useful purpose. If 2026 is a repeat of 2018 the republicans in Congress will be the reason, not all the good that Trump has managed without them.

The biggest issue is that those who are responsible for this fraud aren’t held accountable! How many investigations has the Congress and the FBI been conducting this past year and they can’t even indict Comey!! Seriously! We need to see some accountability. Biden added 7,000 new IRS agents-can’t we add DOJ or FBI agents to speed some of this along?

China Signals It Won’t Give an Inch to the U.S. in Latin America

China has been a major supplier of drugs directly to the Cartels for years. Every administration has been aware of this. Trump is the first to do something about it.

Read this article, "Nick Shirley fires back at CBS News reporter suggesting Minnesota daycare centers weren't 'fraudulent'", https://www.foxnews.com/person/k/lindsay-kornick, and it alludes to some of the same concerns I raised in an earlier post, but CBS does nothing but make a "counter claim" with even less to back it up. This issue will not be decided by either CBS or Shirley but by bona fide law enforcement on the ground visiting each establishment and following the money. Like the Minnesota (I believe) restaurant owner that allegedly served 4,000 subsidized meals a day while owning multiple high dollar homes and vehicles, until he is in cuffs, indicted and prosecuted, it's just so much "show".
