The Old original Yankee Doodle was a old version British bar room song that was profane back then and very derogatory.

Americans turned it into "You just got beat by a dumb rag-tag bunch of profane drunken Yankee Doodles". (talk about a snarky profane slap in the face to the Brits)

Add one other thing at first Washington's troops were retreating all the time Congress and historians kind of gave Washington low scores his retreating so much.

Washington's retreats were actually genius! He was drawing the British away from the coast where supplies were plentiful and drawing the Brits deeper and deeper into the wilderness where the British were not at all prepared or equipped for. Black flies, mosquitos, poison ivy and etc. And in winter brutal cold and snow. And wet powder for their muskets and exhaustion. Not to mention scalps hanging on a tree.... Ugh!

Read this, "Judge backs Trump admin's deportation push for 8 illegal migrants after another judge blocks it", https://www.foxnews.com/person/c/louis-casiano, and this is what absolutely has to stop. SCOTUS must rule on this nonsense in a way that makes the rest of judiciary take notice. Lawyers are filing lawsuits as if these people were here legally when there is no contest, they are not. Aside from that the case is based on nothing but speculation. To be clear and honest, we have no way of knowing what will happen to these people once they leave US soil. The only things we know for certain are 1) they do not belong here, and 2) their home country does not want them either, and 3) the reason for that is they are bad people who do not deserve freedom.

....proud grandfather alert.

Happy and Safe Independence Day 2025 – Today We Thank God for His Many Blessings and Miracles – And Remember to Hang Your American Flag! One of my granddaughters (Freshman in college studying to be a Nurse) just joined the National Guard and goes to basic at Fort Bragg in January.

I am flying the flag my Congressman presented to me on my birthday a few years ago that flew over the U.S. Capitol for 30 seconds in my honor.

The "Old Guard" stands guard 24/7 ... this will make you proud to be an American.

https://youtu.be/ABVuyrpg9Fo?si=fvmg53ZDUXK3UvqI

I sent that video to one of my sisters and she replied that one of her daughter's nephews was chosen for that duty a few years ago and would like to do it again. He now works at the White House, and he is the one handing the saber to the one who cut the cake at the Trump Flag Day Celebration.

Happy Independence Day

I am still concerned for the future of America with the influx of Muslims and their propensity to take over every area they can as quickly as possible and the inroads already allowed to them in many areas! Be very concerned, all who cherish our God-given freedoms in America!!

Yes! And no thanks to the Biden Administration. There are many good Muslims who came here the right way and were seeking freedom. Sadly the good Muslims now feel threatened by mainly Iranian terrorist proxies and etc.

Thank you for reminding us of the story of Sybil. History is important for many reasons but one reason remains clear; so we don't repeat the mistakes of history. In this current culture, students are not educated, unless the are likely home schooled. Uneducated people are in danger of believing anything because it comes from a position of emotionalism. Indoctrinated people also believe anything because they don't have a foundation. I'm in my 70's and was educated entirely in the public school system. In those days, we were taught history, reading, writing, mathematics, and critical thinking! All of these subjects are foundational to a good citizenry and should never have been compromised or removed from the public system at all. It's good to be reminded of our roots. I hope that people begin to push back against this travesty that is occurring in our culture and begin to demand accountability of our public education from kindergarten through college. May I remind people, this is why your vote is so important! It doesn't matter if you can't stand a personality, we shouldn't be voting for personalities but for principals! It matters who we elect as leaders. Character is foundational! Enjoy celebrating our country's founding today and be thankful to all who went before us to establish this great country! We are truly blessed to be a citizen of the U.S.A.

I like Hillsdale Courses Online (free ).

Also I like the Author David McCullough. His position is history should be about "People", everything else is a sequence of events. But it's Humans that make history and he has a way of making you feel you are there while history is happening. Example, I get a real feel for why the founding Fathers did what they did.

McCullough has a lot of interviews and speaking engagements on YouTube.

60 Minute Interview is my favorite.

And yet, Betty, we could go back to this model you and I enjoyed. It takes people who are willing to stand up to these satanic attacks and speak truth. It takes people with courage who are willing, just as those who were willing before us, to pass the legacy of this great nation onto future generations. No more excuses!
