Good morning. Fake News Tuesday! A video appeared on YouTube that’s supposedly about a CNN debate between Mike Huckabee and Jasmine Crockett in which Crockett “humiliated” Huckabee with her brilliant insights into Scripture. As if you couldn’t tell from that alone, the fact that it didn’t include any CNN footage but just biased narration with unflattering pictures of Huckabee and glamor shots of Crockett should have been a dead giveaway that it’s 100% hooey. There never was any such debate. It’s all just AI-generated garbage, much like the photo of Amb. Huckabee at this link that looks more like Chris Christie.

Headline of the Day! From Breitbart.com: “Socialist UK Deputy PM Buys Million Dollar Third Home”
Leaving On A Jet Plane: In the latest on the never-ending chess game involving the Democrats’ pet mascot illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a liberal judge ordered him released, and he was…But he won’t enjoy it for long. The judge said he can’t be sent back to El Salvador, where he came from, but he may soon be jetting off to a detention center in Uganda, which is unlikely to be an improvement.
U.S. MILITARY
The Boot Finally Drops: Last week, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth fired the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lt. General Jeffrey Kruse. No official reason was given other than “lack of confidence,” but reports are that his office leaked to the media an unverified preliminary report that the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities didn’t do extensive damage, to make the Administration look bad.
That story lists some other Pentagon officials who have been axed recently without naming the reasons, but they could range from being part of that leak to just being Deep State termites.
Final Military Salutes! Jennifer Oliver O’Connell at Redstate.com writes about a ceremony in Alabama that finally honored Vietnam veterans on the 50th anniversary of the end of the war.
And Ward Clark offers a final salute to Congressional Gold Medal recipient Donald McPherson, the last US Navy fighter ace of World War II, who has gone to join his comrades at 103…
U.S. POLITICS
The Truth: Abortion proponents keep coming up with endless euphemisms, but there’s no way to deny what abortion really is. That would explain the results of a massive new study of over 1.2 million pregnancies across 17 years.
The study found that women who had abortions rather than delivering their babies were at higher risk for psychiatric disorders, mental health hospitalization, substance use and suicide attempts. The risk remained elevated for years, and was highest within five years of the abortion. Multiple abortions increased the risk.
Some may argue that this could be explained by people who are predisposed to mental problems being more likely to seek abortions, but the researchers factored that in. They found that those under age 25 and with preexisting mental illness were most at risk.
As some commentators noted, abortion defenders can tell others that a baby in the womb is just a clump of cells, but this study exposes the truth. When you are actually facing that decision, you can’t lie to yourself.
No Evidence: John Nolte also has a must-read article explaining the various ways in which Democrats have corrupted our election system to invite vote fraud while leaving no evidence. That way, their media outlets and “fact-checkers” can always declare that there’s “no evidence of widespread voter fraud.”
ECONOMY
Trump Tries to Pick A Winner: On Monday, President Trump took several news-making actions that sparked backlash even among fellow Republicans including:
Trump announced that the US government will take a 10% ownership stake in the computer chip company Intel. The idea is that this will help protect the US from Chinese chip makers while returning billions in profits to taxpayers. But many conservatives balked at the idea, arguing that a similar plan was originally pushed by Bernie Sanders and Liz Warren and it's uncomfortably close to CCCP-style government ownership of private businesses.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick argued that it’s not socialism, but just the “best businessman” in the USA making a fair deal for taxpayers that gives us some return on the billions of dollars in subsidies we’ve put into Intel.
We can see the reasoning on both sides, but our big concern is that this does not open the door to the government taking ownership positions in every industry that some politician can argue is “vital” to the nation’s interests. We well recall how some of them claimed liquor stores and strip clubs were necessities during the pandemic when churches and schools weren’t, so pardon us if we don’t trust their judgement and restraint.
CRIME
New Executive Order: Trump issued another executive order rescinding federal funding for jurisdictions that have “cashless bail” policies. This is a go-to for leftist DAs who argue that making arrestees put up bail discriminates against the poor. But the practical result is that criminals are arrested and immediately released to go back to preying on the public again.
DC’s Attorney General Brian Schwalb rebuked Trump on X, writing, "This Executive Order disregards effective, data-driven policies purely for political purposes — something every American should be alarmed by.” But his own local police union responded, "You have let out every juvenile that has committed a heinous, violent crime going back to the day you were elected. Maybe you should sit the next few plays out." Sounds like they have a better handle on what people should be alarmed by.
Another Trump Action Illustrated One Of The Best Things About Trump Derangement Syndrome: the kneejerk opposition to anything Trump does makes it incredibly easy for him to trick Democrats into taking the most wildly unpopular side of any issue.
Recently, he’s rope-a-doped the Dems into attacking ICE agents for deporting illegal alien rapists, protesting a crackdown on crime that’s given Washington over a week with no homicides, and even badmouthing removing artificial dyes from kids’ cereals and encouraging physical fitness (we expect to see J.B. Pritzker and Jerry Nadler launch the “Physical Fatness Challenge.”) Liz Peek at Fox News has noticed this as well.
But can even Trump bamboozle these chumps into taking a stand in favor of burning the American flag? We can imagine this starting with Don Jr. saying, “I’ll bet you a new putter that you can’t actually fool them into endorsing flag burning,” and Trump declaring, “You’re on!”
So Trump issued an executive order banning the burning of the American flag, with violators facing up to a year in jail. It’s one of his rare orders that sparked protests from conservatives and Libertarians, who may hate flag-burning but don’t like the government infringing on something that’s been ruled as protected speech by the Supreme Court.
However, his critics are missing some key points. The EO clearly states that the law applies only to flag-burning that’s intended to incite violence (which the SCOTUS did not classify as free speech) or that occurs in the context of other illegal actions, and when it’s “within the bounds permitted by law” and “consistent with the First Amendment.” In practice, that creates so much wiggle room that it’s unlikely anyone will be prosecuted.
So chill out, conservatives. Trump isn’t trashing the First Amendment. He’s just ensuring that between now and the 2026 election (the USA’s patriotic 250th anniversary), Democrats will make themselves proudly synonymous with illegal aliens, violent criminals and desecrating the American flag.
And no, we’re not worried about warning them they’re walking into a trap because it won’t make the slightest bit of difference.

INVESTIGATIONS
“Biden” pardons questioned at the time; Oversight still investigating Epstein/Maxwell; Peter Navarro on FBI agent Giardina: Newly obtained declassified emails mark the official confirmation that top officials at the Justice Department were questioning the legality of autopenned pardons during the last days of the Biden administration and were even wondering whether or not he played any role in those.
This has come to light thanks to the Oversight Project. As Matt Margolis at PJ Media reports, the point being made by this watchdog group is simple: “If prosecutors at DOJ can’t figure out who these pardons cover, did Biden even know what he was signing? And if he didn’t, who did?”
If Biden had actually been calling the shots, they ask, would there have been such confusion about this during those last days?
Biden has said he was in charge. But Biden has said a lot of things. And we see from these DOJ emails that the pardons went far beyond the standards he has claimed he employed, even to include violent offenders. And though no allegations have been made at this time, we can’t help but suspect that money or other consideration might have changed hands in exchange for some of these. The ultimate in corruption.
From Margolis: “The broader issue here isn’t just whether the autopen itself is constitutional. It’s whether an 82-year-old President, suffering from an obvious cognitive decline, outsourced one of the most serious powers of his office to staffers, activists, and, ultimately, a piece of machinery.”
Margolis is convinced that in those final days, Biden was not the one in charge. It was “the machine.” And we would say that description might apply in more ways than one.
At the same time House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer of Kentucky is dealing with this, he’s also reviewing the possible mismanagement of the investigation into the late, not-so-great Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving her 20-year sentence.
(SIDENOTE: Friday, the DOJ released transcripts confirming that Maxwell said she never saw Donald Trump do anything inappropriate, she didn’t recall Trump and Epstein being close friends or Trump visiting Epstein’s house, and he was always “a gentleman in all respects.” Democrats immediately denounced her sworn testimony as a “whitewash,” which makes one wonder why they demand all the testimony be released if they refuse to believe what it says.)
As reported by the U.K. Daily Mail, a new subpoena issued by the committee is demanding that Epstein’s estate hand over any documents and communications, in unredacted form, that it possesses relating to Epstein and Maxwell or to the case.
This comes on the heels of the DOJ turning over thousands of Epstein documents to the committee. As reported by the Daily Mail, Democrats on the committee are saying that only about 3 percent of those documents constitute new information. (Hey, you never know what’s gonna be in that 3 percent.)
The goal of his committee, Comer says, is to look into “the circumstances and subsequent investigations of Mr. Epstein’s death, the operation of sex-trafficking rings and ways for the federal government to effectively combat them, and potential violations of ethics rules related to elected officials.”
As you know, Attorney General Pam Bondi concluded in her review of the Epstein files that his death was a suicide. The Daily Mail, being the Daily Mail, referred to those questioning this conclusion and wanting to see “take-downs in the Epstein case once Trump was back in office” as “MAGA fanatics.” Sigh.
As you surely also know, Ghislaine Maxwell said in recent testimony that she does NOT think Epstein died by suicide. Is Maxwell a “MAGA fanatic”? Don’t think so.
In case you missed our earlier report, Maxwell was honored, in September 2013 --- years after she was accused in civil lawsuits and news stories of helping Epstein with grooming minors for sex --- at a Clinton Global Initiative conference. Her prized “comped” access to the conference suggests that it was either Bill or Hillary who set that up for her.
A spokesperson for Bill Clinton distanced the former President from Maxwell and “Jeffrey Epstein’s terrible crimes,” but so much is still just not known.
On September 19, the Oversight Committee will be conducting a voluntary interview with Alexander Acosta, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida during the 2007 case against Epstein. Also, former Attorneys General Alberto Gonzales, Eric Holder and Jeff Sessions are apparently prepared to give formal written declarations that they have no more information relating to the Epstein and Maxwell cases. The three of them had been subpoenaed for depositions; one assumes that these statements are made under oath and carry the same weight.
Here’s some welcome news: Last week, FBI Director Kash Patel reached a settlement with ten FBI whistleblowers that would, as he posted on X, “include a combination of backpay, security clearance and reinstatement.”
These are brave individuals who came forward despite knowing it likely meant the end of their careers with the FBI. In March, Sen. Chuck Grassley, who has undertaken the responsibility of protecting these whistleblowers, said, “My office has been told that, in many of these cases, the suspension of their security clearances resulted in immediate, indefinite suspensions without pay while the FBI improperly and intentionally delayed the process for these individuals to contest the adverse action.”
This caused financial hardship and “placed them in the impossible situation to either resign their position without completing their legal challenge or continue challenging the suspension or revocation of their clearance while suspended without pay with no prospect of obtaining new employment.”
If you’ve been reading the newsletter lately, you’ve heard of Walter Giardina, the recently fired FBI agent who was involved in numerous investigations that appear to have been politically targeted, including the one against Peter Navarro. “This guy is virtually everywhere,” Navarro told Breitbart News on Saturday, and, yes, he seems to have been.
Now, Navarro is calling for a look into the agents who targeted him (and also Donald Trump) with investigations. An investigation into the investigators.
He describes Giardina as the “guy who came for me.” What he said in his interview with Breitbart to describe Giardina’s role is a pretty good summary of the whole Russia Hoax:
“So the Giardina story starts in 2016 with the Christopher Steele dossier. That was the dossier. It was totally fake. It was presented as an intelligence report, paid for by Hillary Clinton, and the whole purpose of that was to create a Russia, Russia, Russia hoax,” he said, explaining that Giardina was one of the guys who “according to whistleblowers, corroborated the Steele dossier — said it was real, not fake.”
“And once that was done, that set in motion the whole ball of wax. It set in motion Crossfire Hurricane operation by the FBI and DOJ to get Trump. That, in turn, morphed into the Mueller report,” he said, noting that a lot of those who worked on the Mueller report mysteriously had their phones and laptops wiped.
If Giardina wiped his devices on purpose, that alone is a felony. In Navarro’s opinion, Giardina “committed treason against his country” by interfering in elections and also trying to overthrow President Trump.
He did offer condolences to Giardina, as his wife died, apparently under tragic circumstances, just a few months before he was fired from the FBI, but Navarro still has to condemn what this man allegedly did, considering, he said, that some on the left are considering him a martyr for being fired by the Trump administration. Strong words:
“[He] didn’t give a sh** about perp-walking my fiancée. He didn’t care when Jeff Clark’s home got raided and his family got terrorized. He didn’t care when Mar-a-Lago got raided and they went through Melania’s closets. This is a man who has tried to, in my judgment, overthrow the government of the United States, using the powers of the FBI in an abusive way,” he said, “and he’s no more a martyr than Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Laden’s a martyr.”
Incidentally, Navarro has a book coming out called I WENT TO PRISON SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO. This is apparently from the tagline of his speech at last year’s Republican National Convention, but we’d like to think he first got the idea from the HUCKABEE TV show, as our longtime slogan for “In Case You Missed It” was “We read the news so you don’t have to.”
Anyway, let’s hope he’s right and that the days of imprisoning political enemies essentially just for being political enemies --- Navarro went to prison for four months simply for refusing to testify before the sham J6 committee --- are over.
Flashback: Here’s Peter Navarro telling his story on “Huckabee” on TBN…

Thank you for reading the Huckabee Post.
Judging by the leftist reaction to EVERYTHING the president does, I'm beginning to wonder if he is doing some of these things just to get them to react with their usual venom and negativity. If he is, this is brilliant on his part because he always seems to be a step ahead of them. I picture their collective heads spinning constantly as they try desperately to snipe at everything he does. If it weren't so disgusting and sad, it would be comical. It appears he is outsmarting them at every turn. They were so used to Uncle Joe taking naps all the time, these disgusting people must be exhausted. After all, when can they ever nap? What's really disgusting, in all this they have not come up with one solid idea to present to "we the people" concerning anything. I think they are fresh out of ideas and can only react in the manner which defines the left as a whole, mainly, 3 year old temper tantrum throwers!
the Left have their own twisted Bizzaro World so let's don't upset them with facts 😏
